Winterfest--Junior
January 20-22, 2012
Calling all kids in grades 6-8: it's time to mark your calendars for Winterfest! Don't let the cold and drear of winter get you down--jump up and get out and come to camp for a weekend packed with games, activities, praise and worship! Amanda Beachy, pastor of Washington Mennonite Church will speak on the theme "Ordinary Days, Extraordinary Moments" and the IMS praise band will once again lead the worship times. More information will be posted here as it becomes available, and info will be mailed to area churches so check with your youth sponsor. Bring your youth group, bring a friend, bring your long underwear and leave your cares at the door! You'll be glad you did!
Exploring Foods & Farming...
March 2 - 3, 2012
...The Myth of Sustainability. How does our language affect our conversations? Food production is vital to life and sustaining our resources is vital for the generations to come. We invite you to join us as we dive into conversation about such an important issue. Keynote speaker, Neal Eash, will give input on how all farmers--conventional or alternative--can move towards more sustainable and restorative practices. We will hear stories, break bread together, worship together and learn how to affirm and challenge each other. The event will begin with registration at 5 p.m. on Friday and conclude on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Overnight lodging is available, and we recommend attending the event in entirety. For complete information and to print a copy of the brochure with registration form, click here. Contact camp office with questions or for more information.
