U-Pick Descriptions

(7^th-9^th grade campers only)

U-Pick activities are for 7^th – 9^th grade campers only and are selected before camp begins. These activities will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for about 2 hours each. Campers will have a chance to enjoy their U-Pick at a more intense level than other activities during the week.

Basketball

A mini basketball camp for campers of all levels of basketball skills. It’ll be a chance to work on the fundamentals and learn new skills, plus some time for scrimmage!

Climbing

In addition to extra time practicing climbing, you will learn different tips and skills to develop climbing abilities.

Drama

These mornings will be filled with fun and laughter. Participants will enjoy various drama games and put together a small play for the talent show at the end of the week!

Guitar

Whether a beginner or an experienced player, campers will have the chance to learn new chords and music. Plus, it’s a great chance to rock out with other great guitarists!

Handcrafts

Participants will use their hands and several different types of mediums to create fun crafts to keep or give as gifts!

Mountain Biking

Crooked Creek’s own RAGBRAI^©! Campers will spend the morning biking all over the country side and enjoying a more up close and personal look at life from only two wheels.

Outdoor Living Skills

In this group, participants will try their hand at various outdoor living skills. Campers will learn how to build fires without fire starters, how to build a shelter with limited supplies and how to cook over a fire!
